Introduction
Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology is one of the majors related to strategic emerging industries announced by the Ministry of Education, which is closely related to electronic information, energy, environment, biomedicine, micro-nano manufacturing and other disciplines, and has sufficient demands in the employment market. Closely following the frontier of international development and fully combining the traditional advantages of the disciplines in the field of electronic information, the discipline characteristics of combining the research and development of nano-information materials and micro-nano devices with teaching have been formed. This major focuses on the research of nanomaterials, nanoenergy, micro-nano electronic devices and manufacturing technology, which has laid a solid foundation for realizing the talent training system with deep integration of teaching, scientific research, practice and innovation.
Training Objectives
This major focuses on the training of innovative and application-oriented scientific researchers and outstanding engineering and technical personnel who will meet the needs of national strategic emerging industries, have good ideological and moral character, humanistic quality and social responsibility, possess broad and practical basic theories of mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials, electronic information, etc., and master the design principle, manufacturing process, testing technology and quality evaluation of nanomaterials and devices, etc. The graduates are suitable to be engaged in technology development, process and device design in related industries such as nanomaterials and nanodevices technology. They can also be engaged in scientific research and technology management or continue to study nanomaterials and technology-related disciplines as postgraduates.
Characteristic Courses: In this major, we establish the core position of nanomaterials, and build the related course groups of Nanomaterials and Nanostructures and Functional Conversion Materials and Applications characterized by controllable preparation, characterization, growth mechanism and application of nanomaterials; Micro-nano Processing Technology and Thin Film Materials and Technology characterized by micro-nano manufacturing; Li-ion Batteries and Supercapacitors and Solar Cell Materials and Devices characterized by nanoenergy; Nitride Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Materials and Devices and Semiconductor Storage Technology characterized by electronic information; and form a characteristic course system of "achieving the goal of energy and information devices based on functional nanomaterials and technical means of micro-nano manufacturing". The course system is characterized by cross-integration of science and engineering and integration of science and technology.
