(I) Main features

Oriented atthe development needs of national strategic emerging industries, such as new energy, new materials and high-end equipment manufacturing, and the great needs of national economic take-off, it is interdisciplinary in materials, physics, chemistry,electronics,machineryetc., featuring design and preparation engineeringofenergy harvesting, conversion and storage materials and devices.

(II)Main research direction

This directionis aimed atthe basic research and developmentof nanomaterials and nanotechnologyin the field of energy, focusing onnanogenerators, nanowire sensors, piezoelectric electronics, piezoelectric optoelectronics devices, and self-driven nanoenergy systems built by integrating various environmental energy harvesting modules and energy storage modules, such as flexible high-output photovoltaic devices, lithium-ion battery devices, supercapacitors, etc.,as well aspower supply for large-scale sensor networks. The goal is to fabricatenanoenergy devices with excellent performancebyexploring new synthesismethods of nanomaterials, studying the basic physical properties of nanomaterials,optimizing the structural design of devices,andmaking full use of the unique properties of nanoscale materials and the composite effect in the process of composing devices.
